What the fireworks screensaver is
The physics is what sells it: a shell decelerates as it climbs and bursts at the top of its arc, and the sparks then get gravity plus air drag so they slow as they fall rather than dropping in straight lines.
Trails come from fading the previous frame slightly rather than storing every past position, which is both cheaper and closer to how the eye actually perceives a firework.

Fireworks on a full screen, silent
There is no sound. That is usually what you want for a display screen at an event, where the fireworks are the picture and the music is coming from somewhere else.
Turn the launch rate up for a finale and down for the occasional burst. At the lowest setting it is calm enough to leave running in the background.
How to run the fireworks screensaver full screen
Press the fullscreen button on the player, or the F key. Escape brings you back to the page. On a desktop browser F11 does the same job and hides the browser’s own toolbars as well, which is what you want on a display that is going to be left running.
Everything you change in the settings is written into the address bar as you change it, so the version you have set up is a link. Bookmark it, or send it to whoever is running the screen. Space pauses and resumes at any time.
