What a salmon screen is used for
- Flattering warm fill light for portraits and calls
- Warm backgrounds for photography
- Ambient lighting that reads soft rather than bright
Salmon screen online: #FA8072 at full screen
Salmon is #FA8072 — red high with green and blue in the middle, producing a muted warm pink. It is close to coral but pinker and less intense, which makes it one of the more forgiving colours for lighting faces.
Because all three channels are lit at meaningful levels, it is a fair check for smooth mixed-tone rendering, though it will not isolate a subpixel fault.
How to get a full screen salmon background
Press the fullscreen button on the player above, or the F key. Escape returns you to the page. On a desktop browser F11 does the same job and hides the browser's own toolbars as well.
The colour box is a control, not a picture: use the hex field to enter any value, pick another shade from the palette, or download the current colour as a PNG at your screen's resolution. Whatever you set is written into the address bar, so the link you copy reproduces exactly what you are looking at.
