Sage is #9CAF88 — green slightly ahead of red and blue, all three in the middle range. The near-equal channel levels are what make it read as a grey-green rather than as a colour: it is only a little way from neutral.
That proximity to neutral makes it easy to look at for long periods, and it is one of the better choices for a background that needs to be visibly coloured without pulling attention.
How to get a full screen sage background
Press the fullscreen button on the player above, or the F key. Escape returns you to the page. On a desktop browser F11 does the same job and hides the browser's own toolbars as well.
